Briar Chemicals delivers high‑quality contract and custom manufacturing solutions to customers worldwide. From our Norwich, UK site, we support leading companies in the crop protection, fine chemical and speciality sectors, drawing on a broad asset base, diverse technologies, and robust, quality‑driven project management.
The products we manufacture on behalf of our customers play an important role in society. Our chemistry helps protect crops and increase yields in challenging climates, supports animal health through veterinary treatments for cattle and sheep, and provides essential building blocks for the leather, textile and plastics industries.
The name ‘Briar Chemicals’ was chosen by our employees when the business became independent in September 2012. The briar — a resilient, vigorous wild rose native to the UK — reflects both the long manufacturing heritage of our Sweet Briar Road location and our ambition for future growth. It also symbolises our deep roots in the crop protection sector.
Although Briar Chemicals is a relatively new name, we draw on more than 50 years of manufacturing heritage and a strong reputation for excellence, built through continuous improvement, dependability, investment in people and a commitment to social responsibility.
Our site remains in outstanding technical condition thanks to sustained and ongoing investment. We continue to operate at the highest standards of safety, environmental stewardship and operational performance, ensuring we remain a trusted partner for customers across the world.
