New formulation & packing project – rapid response within days

Briar Chemicals not only possesses the capability to synthesise chemical products, we also have a stand-alone, highly automated, blending, filling and packing facility.

We have been able to demonstrate flexibility and speed of response whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and change control.

Above all, we do what we say we will do.

Since we manufacture under confidentiality, we cannot name our clients or their products, but here we outline an example of how we go about our business. 

• A new customer approached Briar with a formulation and packing opportunity.
• Within 5 days from receipt of enquiry the new project was up and running, following some key activities:
  • Rigorous but efficient management of change – new formulation procedure completed per the Briar Process Change Authorisation protocol
  • New filling line parts manufactured, tested and commissioned (3 bottle sizes on 2 separate filling and packing lines)
  • Operator training completed
  • 13 new raw materials accommodated, plus customer specified bottles, caps, packing cases and labels.
• Resulting in :
  • 3 batches formulated @ 100% RFT (Right First Time)
  • 3 new SKUs packed and despatched @ 100% OTIF (On Time In Full)
  • A delighted customer and repeat business
